They strive to partner with churches, social service agencies, and public schools to help identify those with needs and serve them. The Stojanov family have been members of our church for several years, and have a burden for those with greater needs then resources. Erica became a member of our church shortly after she graduated, and launched two thriving inner-city ministries with children and teenagers at projects in New Haven and Waterbury while teaching at Westwoods Christian Academy. In the summer of 2011, Erica responded to God’s call on her life to be a missionary to Liberia. She partnered with Youth Assured Ministries and opened a drug rehabilitation house while teaching school in Monrovia. She has since married the director of Youth Assured, Adam Kyne, and the two are preparing for a fruitful life serving the Lord in Liberia. When victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine cry out for help, Samaritan’s Purse is often the first to answer. They specialize in meeting critical needs for victims of war, disaster, famine, and epidemics in the world’s most troubled regions, often working through ministry partners already on the scene of a crisis. In the U.S., they quickly respond when hurricanes, tornadoes, and other storms strike, mobilizing staff and volunteers to provide emergency aid to disaster victims. When these types of crisis occurs we encourage everyone to give generously, and have found that Samaritan’s Purse is one of the best organizations to donate to. Learn more by clicking on their logo.
