HISTORY OF The
WOLCOTT COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH
The Wolcott Community Bible was Church was established in 1960. It began in the little stone church, which is now the Senior Center, and eventually located in the north end of town, near Cedar Lake.
Rev. Gerald Williams was the founding Pastor and upon his retirement, his son Rev. Burton Williams pastored the church for 37 years before becoming a missionary to street children in the capitol of the Philippine Islands, Manila. Currently, Rev. Todd Williams, the third generation, pastors the church.
The church emphasizes knowing God and having a personal relationship with Him. It teaches truth from the Bible which sets people free from such things as bitterness, addictions, anxiety, and lust. Those attending find their marriages strengthened and families united. The church reminds all ages that decisions and choices are to be based on good character.
The church is non-denominational and all are welcome to attend.
